WHAT DOES THE JOB INVOLVE?

This is not a traditional teaching job. ACLE focuses on fostering English acquisition through the use of engaging methods such as games, songs and drama. The students are generally aged between six and sixteen and will expect blood, sweat and cheers from you.

Our tutors are given a 4-5 day Introduction to TEFL Orientation Course before being sent to one of our camps. This course prepares tutors for their role by providing them with exciting activities, songs and games which can help students acquire the English language. In addition, we send tutors to camp with manuals that contain plenty of ideas for dynamic lessons, drama activities, and classroom management techniques. Of course, the tutors' own creativity, input and ideas are essential for making the camps more enjoyable for the students and themselves. Knowledge of songs and suitable games is vital, while some knowledge of drama will be highly useful.

• To work in language schools associated with ACLE.
• To work as a tutor teaching English in schools all over Italy during the academic year.
• To work as an actor in ACLE’s THEATRINO theatre department touring Italy for 3 to 7 months.
• To work in one of ACLE’s offices in Italy.
